north of Scaleby
Castle
II
Gate piers and wall. Late C17. Brick with sandstone dressings. 2 square brick
columns with recessed panels on chamfered sandstone plinth and with sandstone
drip mould, chamfered caps with ball finials. High brick wall to left joins
castle wall at right angles. Similar wall to right originally enclosed small
garden, but now partly demolished and reduced in height.
