Details
PARISH OF BARLOW BARLOW LEES LANE SK 37 NW 5/2 Lees Hall Farmhouse II Farmhouse. Mid C17, with C18 and C19 alterations, and C20 additions. Coursed squared coal measures sandstone with quoins, coped gables with moulded kneelers, brick gable stacks and a Welsh slated roof. L-plan house with integral offshut beneath catslide roof to rear of main range. Two storeys and attics, three bays, with two bay wing to rear of main range at the west end. South front with central doorway, now enclosed by C20 stone gabled porch, with C20 door. Flanking the doorway are stacked tripartite sash windows, with glazing bars, that to ground floor west side having fixed lights flanking the central sash window, and beneath a dripmould. Above the doorway, a 2-light recessed chamfer mullioned window beneath a dripmould which extends further to the east. This window has C20 leaded lights. The east gable has a doorway with chamfered quoined surround and lintel. The west gable, the west side wall and the rear gable to the two bay wing retain 2 and 3-light recessed chamfer mullioned windows beneath dripmoulds.
