SK 12 60 PARISH OF HARTINGTON TOWN QUARTER CHURCH STREET 12/114 (North Side) The Old Vicarage and attached garden wall GV II
Vicarage, now house. 1780. Altered in C20. Coursed limestone with gritstone dressings and quoins. Plain tile roof. Gable end stone stacks with simple cornices. Three storeys, three bays. Central doorcase with flush jambs and lintels. Moulded hood on stone brackets. To either side, formerly 2-light flush mullion windowswith C20 small pane windows. Above, two similar. Over door a narrower window in wide plain surround with moulded hood. Above this,stone plaque, with oval disc and small floral decoration,inscribed: '1780'. To either side C20 casements in C18 openings, formerly mullioned. C19 wing to rear. Attached limestone rubble garden wall to front with gritstone copings. High wall to sites curving downwards to front. Attached to south, four step mounting block. To north,wall rises again and curves round garden to side of village green,
