Details
PARISH OF ROWSLEY WOODHOUSE LANE SK 26 NE (east side) 5/186 Bridge House Farmhouse (formerly listed as Farm- 12.7.67 house south east of the Peacock Hotel) GV II Farmhouse. Early C19. Coursed squared sandstone with sandstone dressings. Stone slate roof with two ashlar ridge stacks and an ashlar gable stack. West elevation of two plus the bays, angled and probably built in two phases. The left hand two bays have angle quoins. Central doorway with stone jambs and lintel, and moulded bracketed hood. Panelled door. Flanked by glazing bar sashes in ashlar surrounds. Two similar windows above. To the right are two more similar glazing bar sashes to each floor and beyond, on the ground floor, a small pane casement. Low wall attached to west enclosing the front garden.
