Details
PARISH OF EDENSOR MAIN ROAD SK 24/2569-24/2570 7/135 (South Side) 1-2 Teapot Row (formerly listed as Two Cottages North West of Tudor Lodge) GV II Pair of cottages. 1912. Possibly by Romaine-Walker. C17 Vernacular style. Coursed rubblestone with sandstone dressings and quoins. Broad sweeping stone slate roofs with ashlar ridge and gable stacks. Coped gables with moulded kneelers. Two storeys. Symmetrical eight bay north elevation. Single storey outer gabled bays, slightly advanced, each with a 2-light window. Larger gabled bays have a 2-light window and a four-centred arched doorway with bracketed hoodmoulds. A 3-light and a 2-light window above. The centre part has two 3-light windows set behind an open veranda under a catslide roof. All the windows are recessed and chamfered mullioned and have returned hoodmoulds and squared leaded lights.
