Details

SK 42 NW PARISH OF WESTON-UPON-TRENT PARK LANE 4/264 (East Side) The White House II Two cottages, now one. C17, partly rebuilt in C19 and early C20. Square panel timber framing on stone plinth with plaster infil to front elevation, and painted brick elsewhere. Plain tile roof with large brick ridge stack and brick gable stack to south. Two storeys and three bays. Street elevation has ten panels of timber framing, three panels deep, with corner braces to two posts at central panel level, the upper panels are later additions. Street elevation has a C20 panelled door with timber hood slightly off-centre to north with two C20 single light windows to south and a similar 2-light window beyond. Above to south there is one 3-light C20 casement window. Rear and side walls are constructed of brick and all have C20 casements. Interior has low chamfered ceiling beams and an inglenook fireplace.
