SO 82 NE DEERHURST DEERHURST WALTON
3/57 Upper Farm Farmhouse II Farmhouse. Probably C16 or older, C17, altered C18 or C19. Brick-nogged or rendered timber framing, painted brickwork, thatched roof. Three-bays, 1½ storeys, one room deep, lean-to against end gable. House end on to road, plain, painted brickwork. Left return timber framed, generally 2-panels high. Small, 2 -pane window, 2-light casement with panelled shutter, 2- light casement in swept dormer; brick section; 4-pane window, timber-framed end to lean-to against end wall. Roof hipped, chimney on ridge behind brick section, ridge slightly higher to left of chimney. Right return painted Flemish-bond brickwork; tall window, possibly replacing door; late C20 window, cambered brick head; 6-panel door, all flush, timber lintel; small 4-pane sash, cambered head, boarded door to lean-to, timber lintel. Three swept dormers, 2-light casements. Interior not inspected.
