2. C18 and C19, partly formed by side walls of The Talbot Hotel and The Pharmacy and partly by extensions to rear of both. A sinuous alleyway is formed; on the east side the rubble wall varies between 6 and 9 ft and allows views to rear of Digbeth Street. The Market Square has a number of Tures linking it to Sheep Street, Fosseway and Well Lane. These are said to have facilitated the control of sheep on Market Days.
