Well house and well head pump gear mechanism. Mid C19. Cast iron pump. Open timber housing with tiled roof. 2 A-shaped trestles support pump mechanism. A large spoked outer wheel turns on axle with a small cog which engages a larger cog on axle fixed to pump. Housing is 4 posts with arched braces to plates. Pyramidal roof. Included for group value.
