TEWIN TEWIN HILL TL 21 NE (Northwest side) 3/161 Tewin Hill Farm House - - II
House. Mid C16, extended C17 and C18. Altered and restored C19 and C20. Timber frame, exposed with rendered infill on ground floor, first floor machine tile hanging, rendered to rear. Steeply pitched tiled roofs. Red brick dairy addition. 2 bay hall range with jettied cross wing to right, parallel range added to rear. 2 storeys. Large scantling to exposed frame, close studding with middle rail. C20 2 and 4 light casements and red brick plinth. First floor 2 and 3 light small pane casements. Cross wing has renewed tension braces on ground floor in same plane, curved brackets to jettied first floor. Right return has an external stack towards front with offsets, whitewashed. Catslide roof over C20 lean-to with entrance, sham framing. Left gable end close studding with middle rail, entrance and C20 casements. To rear is a 4 bay parallel range, probably C17, all rendered. C20 gabled porch and small pane casements, hip to rear of cross wing. Attached to left end of later range is a low 1 storey and attic C18 red brick dairy with doors to front and rear, a hipped dormer abutting main range. Blocked opening in gable end, upper part of which is stuccoed. Interior not inspected.
