Munn's Farm House
II
House. Early C17, cased and extended early C18, refronted mid to late
C19. Timber frame probable, red brick casing and extension, roughcast
front. Tiled roofs. Original 3 cell 2 storey range to rear, 4 bay, 2
storey and attic front range added to form a double depth house. Ground
floor: entrance to left of centre in C20 gabled porch, tall 2 light
casements with stone cornices on carved consoles. Four first floor
shallow recessed sashes. 2 gabled 2 light dormers. Tall principal stack
to centre in valley. Extruded left end stack. Whitewashed right gable
end: ground floor 2 light casement, first floor 9 pane casement with
segmental heads, plat band, rebuilt attic with 2 light leaded casement.
Left end lean-to outshut with a 2 light small pane metal casement.
Earlier range to rear is lower, C18 red brick. Central bay breaks
forward slightly with recessed tripartite 9 pane sashes, left bay 16
pane sashes, ground floor segmental heads, right bay ground floor
lean-to outshut, first floor C19 sash. Left end added stack. Right end:
entrance with a panelled door, segmental heads, plat bands. Interior:
ovolo moulded axial binding beam, C18 turned balusters on stair. (RCHM
