BRAMFIELD BRAMFIELD PLACE TL 21 NE Bramfield 3/10 - Forecourt Wall immediately N of Bramfield Place Farm House - II

Forecourt wall to Bramfield Place Farm House (not listed). Mid C16. Irregularly bonded red brick. About 30m x 20m, L shaped on plan. About 2m high. Plinth. Diagonally set course below bricks on end canted in to form coping. 2 central piers with some ashlar, refaced in C19 white brick, stone slabs as capping. Separate spur to right end has a canted return angle. This wall is all that survives of a house probably built for R. Dacres after the Dissolution and demolished in the early C19.
