5/164 Foxcote Manor 23.1.52 II

Manor house. Late C17, C20. Coursed squared and dressed limestone, stone slate roof, stone stacks. C17 range: 'L' shaped in plan with early C20 range projecting forwards right and late C20 range projecting forwards left. Main body, symmetrical 2½ storey facade with wings projecting forwards right and left. Late C17 range at centre, the whole presenting a 1:5:1 windowed facade, with hollow-moulded, double-chamfered, cross windows: upper floor lit by three C20 slate hung two-light roof dormers. Continuous hoods over ground and first floor windows continued over windows of projecting wings. Five-light stone-mullioned casement to ground floor of gable end of left wing with king mullion left of centre, 5-light stone-mullioned casement to first floor with king mullions right and left of centre, 4-light stone-mullioned casement with central king mullion towards apex of gable. Fenestration of right-hand gable the same. Central C20 gabled projecting porch with panelled and studded door with 2-light stone-mullioned light over. Hipped roof to late C17 range. Axial stacks with moulded cappings. Moulded gable end coping, ball finials. Moulded kneelers. Interior not accessible but probably contains C17 staircase with turned balusters.
