Lodge to Brockhampton Park (q.v.). Early C20 (before 1931) and
late C20. Initials F.R. (Fairfax Rhodes) on rainwater heads.
Stone slate roof, stone stacks. Rectangular plan with canted
corners at west end, C20 extension in same style to east-facing
gable end. Two storeys with gables facing north, west and south.
Two and 3-light wood-mullioned windows with transoms. All windows
with leaded panes. Stopped hoods over windows continued around
canted corners on ground floor. Blocked ogee-arched doorways on
north, west and south sides, those on west and south probably built
as blind entrances. String between ground and first floor windows.
Blind quatrefoils towards apex of each gable. Saddleback coping on
all sides and to merlons at canted corners. Pointed finials at
apex of each gable (those on south and west facing gables missing
at time of resurvey). Contemporary drainpipes at canted corners of
building, set back behind string and continuous hoodmoulds.
Interior not inspected.
