Single range, single storey and attic. No 43 is original cottage with small attic gable to left and former end stack to right with newel stair lit by small single light. Central boarded door in plain wood surround, with projecting gabled porch probably of time of extension for No 44, into main room with additional small room to left with two-light wood casement with timber lintel as in attic gable above, both with slate sills.

Enlarged carefully in same style for No 44 with attic gable to right, two two-light wood casements on ground floor and similar porch on left-hand side with door at front of porch rather than flush with wall.
