12m to west of Upton House
GV II
Ice house or grotto. Mid C18. Ashlar with vermiculated rustication, Cotswold
stone-slate roof. Small rectangular plan with roof eaves at ground level covering
flight of stone steps. Entrance in classical style with shallow pediment and
cornice extended on each side, round arch with vermiculated quoins and smooth
stone impost blocks and keystone. 2 curved stone steps down from grass to entrance.
Iron gateway across entrance. Interior not inspected.
