Large former town house. Mid C17. Coursed rubble stone with quoins and plinth, Cotswold stone slate roof with 2 coped gables with finials, and parapet, ashlar stack to right with 2 diagonally set ashlar flues with moulded cornices. Large front range with 2 lower parallel rear ranges. 3 storeys and attic. 3 windows, with moulded stone frames, mullions and transoms, C19 iron casements and leading and continuous dripmould over to 1st and 2nd floors. Gables each have leaded 2-light stone mullion window with square hoodmould. Ground floor has stone mullion and transom windows and to left wide doorcase with moulded stone architrave, pulvinated frieze and cornice, 8-panel door and C18 wrought iron grille and lamp bracket over. Interior has oak dog-leg stair, and in rear ranges some lath and plaster walling still existing on top floor where all original roof timbers are exposed.
