8/176 Summers memorial, about 7m north east of path crossing in churchyard of Church of St. Mary
GV II
Chest tomb. Mid/late C18. Limestone. Moulded plinth on base, and moulded capping, with indented corners. Fluted frieze to ends. Plain fielded inscription panels to all sides. Large rectangular cap with separate moulded end pieces to east and west and moulded rectangular finial. Inscription on south to Robert Summers, died 1784, and wife Esther, died 1750(?). On east, inscriptions to John Alexander and wife Mary, with dates 1733 and 1722 visible, but not clear if dates of birth or death.
