Originally probably 2 adjoining houses, latterly house and village
stores, now one detached house. Mid/late C18. Roughcast faced
rubble stone on stone plinth, stone slate roof, concrete end and
ridge stacks. Large single range of 2 storeys and attic with rear
outshut to just below eaves, almost forming catslide. Section to
left, former stores, has Venetian window on first floor over 2
inserted 16-pane fixed lights. Right hand section has three 12-
pane sashes, central one narrower, over two 16-pane sashes on
ground floor. All windows in plain stone architrave, with small
raised keystone to ground floor. Central doorcase on right hand
side with wooden trellis porch, flat hood with swept metal roof,
door of 6 beaded panels, top 2 glazed. Panelled internal shutters
in right hand section. Small section of coped coursed stone wall
extends forward from each end for about 1.5m, linked by plain
wrought iron railings and gate set into moulded stone plinth across
complete frontage.
