II
Inn and attached cottage. Late C17-early C18 and C18. Coursed,
squared and dressed limestone, stone slate roof, coursed, squared
and dressed limestone stack and rendered stacks. Rectangular C17
main body comprising square block at front with gabled projection
back at rear, C18 extension and Rose Cottage (one build) attached
right with gabled extensions at rear. C17 main body; 2 storeys and
attic lit by two 2-light roof dormers with glazing bars. Single
bay facade lit by 3-light stone-mullioned casement with stopped
hoods, C20 double plank door lower right within 'Tudor'-arched
surround. C18 extension right, 4-windowed, 2-light casements with
horizontal glazing bars, leaded panes (some original) to Rose
Cottage. All C18 windows in plain surrounds with keystones. C19
six-panel door to Rose Cottage with upper panels glazed.
