Details

SOUTH CERNEY CERNEY WICK SU 09 NE 9/216 Orchard House (formerly listed as Orchard Farmhouse) 26.11.58 II Detached house, former farmhouse. Probably late C17, refronted late C18 or early C19. Random coursed rubble stone, stone slate roof with tile roof to rear lean-to, stone end stack to south, rear lateral brick flue on stone stack. Single front range of 2 storeys and attic with small rear wing to north of single storey and attic and lean-to in rear angle. Front has 3 windows, 3/2/3-light wood casements with cambered stone voussoir heads. Similar 3-light to left on ground floor, double doors inserted to right, recessed central half-glazed door. North gable end has 2-light ovolo- moulded stone mullion with square hoodmould to ground floor and attic. Rear wing has some renewed concrete lintels on north side, and 2-light casement with timber lintel on east end.
