LITTLE RISSINGTON LITTLE RISSINGTON VILLAGE SP 1819-1919 8/225 Hill House and railing and gate at front 25.8.60 (formerly listed as Clark's Hill Farmhouse) GV II House. C18. Coursed squared and dressed limestone with dressed stone quoins. Concrete tile roof with ashlar stacks. Rectangular plan to the main body with C18 stairs projection at rear, successive extensions of C18 or early C19 date to the right gable end also with gabled, probably C19 extension at right angles at rear. Two storeys and attic lit by two tile hung C20 two-light dormers. Four-windowed facade lit by 3 and 4-light double- chamfered stone-mullioned casements with stopped hoods; some mullions replaced by wooden casements retaining their original surrounds on the ground floor. C20 glass door at centre of main body with glazing bars within a moulded surround with keystone and stopped hood. Oval stone plaque with house name above the door. Both projections at the rear have stone-mullioned casements. Gable-end and axial stacks all with moulded cappings and skirtings. Saddleback coping. C18 spear-headed cast iron railing on a low ashlar wall at the front. Urn finials to the stanchions.
