Detached house, probably formerly a house with an attached less
well-built cottage built at the same time. Thinly bedded coursed
squared and dressed limestone with dressed stone quoins.
Artificial stone slate roof. C20 ashlar stacks. Rectangular plan
with 2-bay extension (largely rebuilt late C20) with lower roofline
at the left gable end. Two storeys and attic. Two C20 single-
light roof dormers with raking roofs to the first floor at front.
Single sky-light at rear. Four-windowed facade. Two 3-light
double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements with stopped hoods and
two C20 two-light wooden casements with imitation leaded panes to
first floor. Two 3-light stone-mullioned casements and two C20
wood casements (one within the blocking of a former doorway),
ground floor. All casements with leaded panes or imitation leaded
panes. C19 plank door within a dressed stone surround to main
house part on right, flat canopy supported on moulded brackets.
C19 plank door to left, formerly the door to the cottage. Two C20
two-light casements and one C20 single-light casement at the rear.
Two single-light frosted casements within flat-chamfered stone
surrounds in the gable-end facing the road. Flat coping at the
gable ends. Axial and gable stacks. Interior not inspected.
