GREAT RISSINGTON THE GREEN SP 1917-2017 9/181 The Lamb Inn GV II Inn. Late C17 with C19 and successive C20 extensions. Late C17 main body; limestone rubble, left gable end incised render. C19 extension; coursed limestone rubble. C20 extensions; coursed squared and dressed limestone. Dressed stone quoins. Stone slate roof with ashlar stacks. Rectangular main body with C19 extensions at right angles front left. C20 lean-to along the left-hand return. C20 extension to right and gabled single-storey extension and flat-roofed extension to the rear of the main body not of special interest. C17 main body; two storeys and attic. Two- storey canted bay lit by 20-pane and 12-pane sashes at the left gable end. Three-light ovolo-moulded stone-mullioned casement with stopped hood above. Similar but 2-light casement lighting first floor in rear wall. Two 2-light casements within segmental- headed surrounds to the first floor of the C19 extension. Twin- gabled C20 extension is left with two-light stone-mullioned casements lighting the gables and three-light stone-mullioned casements at ground floor level. C20 plank door with fillets to flat-roofed extension on right. C20 extension to the right with two 2-light half-dormers with two-light wood casements. All windows to entrance front with leaded panes. Axial and gable-end stacks with moulded cappings; twin diagonal axial stack to C17 range. Interior not inspected.
