Pair of lodges and adjoining walls and gate piers c120m east of Lodge Park. Lodges, walls, gates and gate piers built c1898 by M. King of London. Lodges; coursed squared and dressed limestone. Slate roofs with ashlar stacks. Walls and gate piers ashlar. Cast and wrought-iron gates. Basically square plan to each lodge with later extensions walls curve away either side. Gate piers centre with linking walls to lodges, the whole entrance being c50 in width. Lodges; single storey with two 2-light stone-mullioned casements with diamond leaded panes facing road. Segmental pediments over each window continued as cornice either side. Band and parapet with moulded capping above. Single light casement with chamfered stone surround to right left of each lodge respectively, with band and ramped parapet above. Access to each lodge via plank door under an open-sided porch with banded column support concealed by wall linking lodges to gate piers. Pyramidal roofs with ashlar stack at apex. Interiors not inspected. Walls c2.5m in height link lodges to gate piers. Single cast-iron gates within moulded architraves with segmental pediment within each linking wall. Gate piers c5m in height with alternating bands of vermiculated stonework and cappings with moulded margins. Ball finials with vermiculated bands on square vermiculated stone plinths. Double gates with wrought-ironwork including Vitruvian scrolls. Ornate wrought-iron overthrow incorporating with heraldic shield at centre and the initials 'E.T.S.' (Emily Theresa Sherborne). Ramped walls curve forwards right and left of lodges terminating in piers similar to but smaller than those flanking the gateway. Four urns arranged either side of gateway and in front of lodges.
