Details
FRAMPTON-ON-SEVERN THE GREEN SO 7408-7508 (east side) 9/117 Frampton Lodge 10.1.55 II Detached house. Late C17/early C18, enlarged in late C18/early C19. Brick on brick plinth, roof not visible behind low parapet with stone coping above moulded painted modillion cornice, and with painted alternating chamfered quoins probably in stone. Originally brick end stacks, with additional end stack to left, all with dentil course at base of cap and ornamental chimney pots. Verges swept up to stacks. Single range of 3 storeys with later rear wings. Seven bays. Originally only 4 bays to right and possibly only 2 storeys (slight colour change in brick between first and second floors), extended to left by 3 bays to match and door moved from bay 3 in original block to bay one, now centrally placed. Six-pane sashes to second floor, 12-pane to first and ground, all with painted keystone and wide voussoirs. Doorcase with small moulded wooden pediment on consoles and shallow decoratively glazed transom light over double doors each of 4 fielded panels, up 2 moulded stone steps.
