Details

FRAMPTON-ON-SEVERN THE STREET SO 7407-7507 (east side) 10/147 1, 2 & 3 Buckholt Cottages GV II Row of 3 cottages. Late C18/early C19. Brick, tile roof with glazed brick coping sections to verges and kneelers, 4 brick stacks, end and ridge. T-shape range with No 2 extending back, 2 storeys and attic. Brick dentil course with stepped 2-brick string below, and 2-brick string between floors. Central gable with kneelers and small dentil pediment rising from dentil course with Venetian window with glazing bar sashes below, and similar outline frame above inset with twin 6-pane casements. Flanking central element are 2 paired casements to each side with painted splayed brick voussoirs and stone keystone, similar windows below with additional glazing bars to No 1 on right, and 2 small plate glass sashes flanking door of No 2. Three doorcases in central position between each pair of windows. All doors originally with 4 moulded recessed panels and small projecting pedimented hood on consoles, each doorcase with one element slightly altered. Returns have 2 plain glazed round oculi in attic.
