Details

EASTINGTON CHURCHEND SO 7805 13/47 Two Unidentified Monuments, about 20m north of tower in churchyard of Church of St. Michael and All Angels GV II Two chest tombs. Unidentified. Early C19. Limestone. Flat tops, moulded plinth and capping on large bases. Both tall, narrow chests with side panels divided into 2 by pilaster strips matching pilaster corners. Chest further north has fielded side panels, headstone shape end panels, panelled pilasters. Chest further south has frieze of narrow triglyphs with guttae and plain shields, fluted pilasters, fielded side panels and high relief coats of arms to ends.
