GV II

Detached house. Late C17. Coursed rubble limestone; artificial
stone rebuilt chimney; stone slate roof. Two-storey with attic;
upper floor entry on west side. West side: 2 gables, 2-window
fenestration, all 2-light chamfered mullioned casements with
hoodmoulds, C20 replacements except 1 attic casement; small
single-light upper attic lights with flat hoods. Central C20
doorway with plank door. South end: gable with single-window
upper floor and attic fenestration, both 3-light casements with
hoodmoulds; small attic single-light with flat hood as to west
side. East side: 2 gables, C20 replacement mullioned
fenestration to ground floor; central raking buttress. Chamfered
mullioned casements to upper floors of right gable, 4-light to
upper floor, 3-light to attic with small single-light above.
Interior: extensively altered in C20 restoration. Restored by
the Period Cottage Improvement Society. Forms part of group with
office at Churches Mill (q.v.).
