6/147 Little Court and The Coach House (previously listed as Coach House, 20.6.75 North of Stonehouse Court)

GV II

Former stables and coach house, now 2 houses. c1870 for Lucina Marling. Coursed and dressed limestone; ashlar and artificial stone rebuilt chimneys; stone slate roof. Single-storey with attic; 2-storey cross wing at centre with former coachway. East side: parapet gable to cross wing with moulded pointed archway and 2-light chamfered mullioned casement with hoodmould above; clock in moulded recess; ball finial to gable with shield on base, iron weathervane above. Central Tudor arched doorway in range to right with 4-window fenestration, all single-light casements with hoodmoulds. Altered fenestration to left range is C20 replacing coach doors. West side: more altered than east with C20 mullioned casements. C20 altered opening to central wing with concrete lintel; loft door over and carved panel to gable with cross slit above. North end: parapet gable with oval attic window.
