Detached house. Late C17. Random rubble limestone; concrete rebuilt chimneys; stone slate roof. Two-storey with attic. Front: 3-window fenestration, all 2-light chamfered mullioned casements with hoodmoulds. Doorway to right in former window position has 4-panel door. Frontage formerly extended by 1 window to left but this part cut down to form side of lean-to at north end; plank door with timber lintel replaces former ground floor window. North end: concrete ridge-mounted chimney. Lean-to to gable end with pantile roof. South end: rendered with C20 casement to upper floor and attic. Central doorway with plank door; blocked 2-light casement to right with hoodmould. Short projecting wall to right has part of continuous dripmould on 2 levels. Rear: full gable with cut-down brick chimney. Interior not inspected. Formerly adjacent and linked to a larger house to south, demolished in 1958. (N.M. Herbert, 'Rodborough' in V.C.H.
