Pair of small houses. Late C16 and C17. Timber-framed; No 36 largely refaced in brick; brick chimneys; replacement concrete tile roof; clay plain tile to back wing of No 36. No 36 has 2-room plan, single-storey with attic; 2-storey back wing. No 37 is 1- room, 2-storey; single-storey addition to south end. Front: No 36, to left, has scattered fenestration in brick refacing; cambered arched doorway with plank door; 2 casements to left; part timber- framed to right with small casement; 2 tall framed gabled roof dormers. No 37, to right, is small-framed on lias plinth with scattered timber casements; large brick ridge chimney stack at junction with No 36. Some timber framing and remains of possible upper cruck in north gable end of No 36. Partly timber framed back of No 36 has large back wing in small framing with straight bracing on lias plinth, rebuilt in brick on south side with single- window fenestration. Small framing to back of No 37; south gable end rendered with C20 casements. Single-storey addition to south is not of special interest.
