and boundary wall
GV II
Schoolroom, wall and gate piers. Dated 'SCHOOLROOM 1844' in fine incised
lettering. Limestone ashlar, hipped Welsh slate roof. A simple room attached
The Manse (q.v.). Single storey, 2 round-headed sashes with radial bars in
plain raised architraves with keystone flanking a similar blind opening. On
left hand return, in courtyard, a pair of fielded-panel doors in reveals with
plat band surround to round arched opening and one window as to street. Plinth
dries to pavement at higher end; moulded cornice with blocking course. To left
a length of limestone ashlar wall with plain coping containing pair of 450 mm
square piers 2 m high with pyramidal cappings to square cornice; far left a
lofty pier of same kind, adjoining the Baptist Chapel (q.v.).
