Obelisk monument. Early C18. Limestone with brass plate. Square, pedestal-mounted obelisk. Pedestal stands on plain base with moulded cornice. Tall obelisk above carries the following inscription on brass plate: 'My name was Wag who rolled the green The oldest horse that ever was seen My years they numbered forty-two I served my master just and true.' (Illustrated in S.J. Gardiner and L.C. Padin, Stroud and the Five Valleys in Old Photographs, 1984. Plaque recorded in M.A. Rudd, Historical Records of Bisley with Lypiatt, 1937)
