7/67 Bakers Mill
II
Formerly mill house, now detached house. Mid-late C17; c1960 enlargement. Random rubble limestone; ashlar and rubble chimneys; stone slate roof. Two-storey with attic. Later range to east forms L-plan. West end: original house forms cross-wing. Scattered fenestration, 2-light recessed chamfered mullioned casement to ground floor, hoodmould grouping with doorway to right having glazed doors. Further timber casement to right. Two upper floor mullioned casements, 2 and 3-light; small timber casement to left. Gable end chimneys with moulded caps. South side: gable end of C17 house projects forward to left with ground floor single- light, 2-light above and timber attic casement. Mullioned fenestration and 2 gabled eaves-mounted dormers on east side. Two steep gables to c1960 addition, mullioned fenestration of 2, 3 and 4 lights. Interior not inspected. Picturesque position alongside mill pond.
