STANDISH STANDISH VILLAGE SO 80 NW 7/255 Chamberlayne, Beard and 2 Unidentified Monuments, about 2m north of porch in churchyard of Church of St. Nicholas GV II Pedestal tomb, Joseph Chamberlayne 1820; coffin tomb, Elizabeth Beard 1639; 2 headstones to west, probably early C18. Chamberlayne in sandstone, remainder limestone. Pedestal tomb with moulded convex cap on base, moulded plinth and capping on base, horizontal reeded frieze in limestone, plain recessed ovals to each face with shallow urn relief to west. Beard - plain coffin slab with incised edge inscription. Two headstones with cherubs' heads and wings, and floral decoration and drapery drops to sides.
