Two Hewlett Monuments, about 1.5m east of south aisle in churchyard of Church of St. Stephen

Pedestal and chest tomb, both to Hewlett family, pedestal earliest
decipherable date 1810, chest 182-. Sandstone. Pedestal tomb to
south with stepped moulded cap, moulded plinth on 2-step tooled
base, indented corners. Fluted frieze with central rosettes,
moulded oval panels to each face with draped leaf reliefs. Cap
breaking up and the whole leaning to south at time of survey
(January 1986). Chest tomb with plain flat top, sides and ends,
unmoulded plinth, sides divided into 2 panels. Partially
overgrown.
