Details

MINSTERWORTH CHURCH LANE SO 71 NE (south side) 5/91 Pitt monument, in churchyard, about 7m south of eastern bay of nave, Church of St. Peter GV II Short chest tomb. Jonathan Pitt, died 1800. Stone. Flat lid, slightly indented corners long sides, moulded edge; south side raised rectangular panel, paterae in scalloped corners; north side raised circle, paterae in corners. Ends pilasters, alternate fluting and paterae in top, sunk panel on stem west end, raised east. Moulded plinth; good lettering.
