GV II

Two houses in row, now one. Right is C19 front, left is C16. Right squared limestone rubble formerly rendered with steep pitched welsh slate roof, left is box timber frame on stone plinth with stone gable, welsh slate roof at much lower level than right half, brick gable stack. Right half is two storeys 2 windowed, 2 light casements over 3 light, with one horizontal glazing bar and heads of lights flat elliptical arch, under flat wood lintols and C20 door extreme right; left half 1½ storeys one windowed, 2 light casement gabled dormer over 3 C20 casements set to framing panels. Back wall some framing. Interior contains much timber framing, solid newel stair, chamfered and stopped main beam, open fire with window into former throughway; upstairs is 4 centred chamfered and stopped opening. This was formerly Nos 27 and 29 Hailes Street.
