Large detached house. C17 and C19. Coursed and squared limestone, stone slate roofs. A complex building with a cross-gabled early unit set end-on to the road, and running to left a one-bay lower link building to a third block prolonging this large back wing. Main building, frontage is twin gabled, 2 1/2 storeys, 2 or 3-light recessed chamfer stone mullioned casements, all to stopped hoods, that to right gable with Gothick glazing bars: in each gable a small single light to roof space, and the central 2 windows at first floor set below battlemented parapet. Central flat-roofed C20 porch with a 4-light casement with cusped heads and plank door. Gables are coped, with cross-roll saddles, stack with capping to end gables. To road is, from left, a 2 storey building in 2 bays to parapet, 2 over 3-light C19 stone mullioned casements with hoods and central plank door; then lower link unit with battlemented oriel over a C20 4-light casement and, to right, a small lancet and a C20 door in 4-centre head. To right, back gable of main building fenestrated as front gable, with plain gable to street. North front, away from road, has, left, gable of main block with four lights, then twin gables set back, and C19 haunched gable, right, with 4-light opening at first floor.
