Former farmhouse, now house. Late C17, C18, C19, altered first third C20 by and for Sir P. Stott; 1960s. Coursed, squared stone; stone slate roof; artificial stone slates to front slope main section, concrete tiles to rear. Four window front, one room deep, two and a half storeys; three-room rear wing, two storeys. Main front to garden: wooden mullion and transom windows, leaded lights, cambered stone arches. Three-light window to left: boarded door, moulded surround, Tudor arch, hoodmould with diamond stops. To right two-light and three-light windows, vertical joint between. First floor three-light window each end, two two-light between. Three gabled dormers, two-light casements. Parapet gables to main roof, ashlar chimney with moulded cap on left, similar one bay from right end,
cross-gablet apex right gable. Right return: three-light mullioned window ground floor, two-light first, single-light gable, all with hoodmoulds. Set back to rear wing: blocked doorway with deep stone lintel, three-light mullioned window, vertical joint in stonework. Above single and three-light mullioned windows. To right stone-mullioned window to near eaves, five-lights, two transoms, two king mullions, hoodmould. Boarded door to right, as front door; two-light ovolo-moulded window, hoodmould. Stone steps up gable on return. Parapet gable with cross-gablet apex; ridge chimney one bay from left end.
Interior: 'great hall' in rear wing, large stone fireplace, moulded arris, Tudor arch. Interrupted tie-beam trusses over, two pairs purlins. Probably C17 stump to rear wing, C18 front, later enlarged to right. External doors, gable window and 'great hall' by Stott; ceiling later reinserted into 'hall'. Extended on left of front 1960s.
