4/54 Granary at Prior's Farm

GV II

Shall be amended to:-

Granary, for a short time used as a dwelling in C20, in use for storage at time of survey. Late C18 altered in C20. Timber framed with painted brick infill. Half-hipped tiled roof. 3 x 3 bays but some of the original mushroom-shaped staddle stone bar has replaced or strengthened by C20 cement replicas. Framed of thin scantling with diagonal tension braces. Some of the posts are replacements and the box has been strengthened by iron plates. C20 leaded light casements and C20 plank door with iron hinges. C20 brick steps. Interior has tie beam with run out stops and Queen post roof. C20 floor joists and some old floor boards.

C18. Exposed timber-frame on 9 staddles, with painted brick infill. Red tile ½-hipped roof. Weather boarded end (south) with doorway. Some leaded casements. Once used as a dwelling.
