8.7.52 - II

Cl6, early C19, mid C19. Timber-framed house with gabled cross wing at the north end, with a further Regency wing added at the north end and a mid C19 wing at the south end. Older part of 2 storeys and attic, additions of 2 storeys. Large red tile roof to the old block, with stack and one gabled dormer. The upper walling of the old block is tile-hung (with scalloped banding) but the gables and other walling are in red brickwork (Flemish bond), the west gable having exposed timber-framing; the northern part has a grey-red brick in Flemish bond, the west end a bow shape with 3 windows (upper centre a blank), plinths throughout. Casements to the old block, some with old square-leaded lights, later wings have sashes in reveals, those in the bow-shape having cills at plinth level. Plain doorways in the old block, one with 4 small fanlight windows within the solid frame. The rear (east) side exhibits the several phases. Old brick boundary wall.
