C18, C19. Originally a square house of 2 storeys and attic, with 3 bays to each symmetrical elevation, but now with some alterations and several later additions. Red tile mansard roof, with flat roofed dormer in the centre of each elevation. Painted brick walling, thin stone coping to parapet, 4 rendered plain pilasters, rubbed flat arches, stone cills, plinth. The entrance (north) front has altered fenestration (1 tall window on the east side, centre now filled, sashes in reveals; an 'Ionic' porch projects forward from a wider solid porch, the entablature carried round the whole, a semicircular fanlight above a panelled door. The west elevation is complete , with a rendered band at 1st floor level. The old south elevation is masked by a recent tall single- storeyed flat roofed part, with 3 tall sashes reaching to the ground level. To the east there is an extensive range, of 2 storeys, mainly timber clad, with red tile roofing (some slate), brought to a low eaves on the north side where it projects forward from the old block.
