GV II
House. Originally a C17 timber-frame, the older block was modified in the early C19 with 'Cottage Orne' features, and a cross-wing was added in 1870 to the east side. Mainly rendered in the old part, flint and brick to the later: thatch and slate roof. L shaped plan. 1 storey and attic, 2 storeys to the later part with a 1 storeyed rear extension. Shipped thatch roof, on the north side a dormer with a gable decorated with diagonal rustic woodwork: the slate roof has decorative bargeboards to gables. Although part of the framework is exposed, the main feature of the old part is a verandah on the front (north) with 2 wide French doors and a slated roof. The later part has flint panels, brick quoins and cambered openings, the front gable incorporating the date 1870. Casements in some variety. Boarded doors to front and rear.
