BROUGHTON HORSEBRIDGE ROAD SU 33 SW 4/15 Brought on Mill and Mill 29/5/57 Cottage GV II Mill and attached cottage. C18 and early C19. Brick, part weatherboarded mill, chequerwork brick cottage, old plain and fishscale tile roofs. 2 storey, 3 bay mill, 1 1/2 storey, 2 bay cottage to left. Mill has right bay over millstream with bridge in front. Weatherboarded 1st floor with door. Centre bay blank. To left stable door in solid segmental head frame, and 12-pane window to right with segmental head. Over stable door in solid frame. Cottage has central open-fronted gabled brick porch. Inside 4-panel door. To right 3-light casement, to left 2-light segmental head casement. 1st floor string. To each bay 2 or 3-light pent-roofed dormer. Roof half-hipped to left, shared stack between buildings.
