2. Early C19 cottages. Painted brick with brick modillion eaves cornice. Hipped, old tiled roof. 2 storeys. 3 windows in all, sashes with glazing bars and moulded boxed frames, those of ground floor with cambered head linings. No 30 has a small curved shop window with glazing bars intact. All have 6 panelled doors, those of Nos 30A and 32, top 2 panels, now glazed. Nos 31 and 32 have small flat canopies above doors. Additional side entrance. All the listed building on High Street and Union Street, with the listed street lamps form a group, together with Nos 1 and 2 and the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul, Church Place and with the Red Lion Hotel and No 10 East Street. (No 45, High Street is of local interest).
