Farmhouse. C17 altered C18, early C19 and C20. Timber-frame with wattle and daub and brick infill, encased in brick refacing and additions, old plain tile roof. 2 storey, 3 wide bay and smoke/lobby bay, outshot to rear, with ½-hip bay added to each end, and C19 wing behind smoke/lobby bay. Front has to LH of centre, smoke/lobby bay; C18 gabled porch with arched opening. Each side on ground floor large C20 windows, and small window at LH end. On 1st floor in each bay but stack bay 3-light casement, and 2-light casements in added end bays. Roof 1/2-hipped with large ridge stack in stack bay. Timber-frame exposed inside outshot, with 3 panels to height of house with curved braces from posts to wallplate. Original house plan survives. 1st floor originally open to roof of Queen post trusses.
