WORLDHAM WEST WORLDHAM SU 73 NW 1/7 Church of St. Nicholas 31.7.63 GV II
Parish church. C12, C13, with much restoration of 1888, after the building had become roofless. Stone west wall, other walls roughcast, and a tile roof. A single-cell building, with 2 small lancets on the north side, a 3-light east window replacing triple lancets, a C15 single-light window, and a C16 3-light west window. There are two C13 doorways, the north now filled, and the south protected by a C15 timber-framed porch. Interior: the church is plain, with a piscina in the east wall and 2 in the nave, an octagonal font, and 3 wall monuments of the late C18. On the outside, the upper west wall has a bracketed stone niche, containing the bell.
