II
Cottage. C16 timber framed small open hall house, with early C17 fireplace and upper floor, late C17 cladding, early C19 extension, and C20 extension and renovation. Red brickwork in Flemish bond with blue headers. Front elevation has high plinth 1st floor band. Thatch roof, hipped, and brought to a low eaves at the north end. catslide at rear. East front elevation of two storeys three windows, with north side outshot. Casements. Plain doorway, with simple canopy on carved brackets. Interior: exposed frame, beams, one-sided massive fireplace indicates the phases of construction: the thick walls are of malmstone with brick facing.
